Carrier Box Designer

Create a carrier box with finger joints. The center panel has an integrated carrying handle and can optionally taper towards the top. Add dividers for flexible compartments and switch on stacking mode when you need several boxes on top of each other.

Carrying handle & center panel

The center panel includes a hexagonal handle cutout and can extend above the wall height. With a raised center panel the sides taper towards the handle for an ergonomic grip.

Dividers & stacking mode

Full-height or half-height dividers split the box into any number of compartments. In stacking mode tabs and recesses interlock so several boxes stack securely.

Flexible dimensions

Work with inside or outside dimensions. Wall height, center panel height, handle parameters and divider positions can all be adjusted independently. Export as SVG, DXF, PDF, STEP or STL.

Tips for carrier boxes

  • Material: 6–10 mm plywood – the center panel with the handle carries the whole load, so avoid very thin material for large boxes.
  • Handle: Make the handle cutout at least 100 mm wide and 30 mm high for a comfortable grip; a raised, tapered center panel keeps the handle above the contents.
  • Dividers: Half-height dividers keep the contents visible and easy to grab; full-height dividers are better for bottles and tall items.
  • Stacking: Only boxes with the same footprint stack. Keep the wall height above the tallest item so the box on top sits on the tabs, not on the contents.
